Job Title: Senior QAQC Manager

Position Summary
The Senior QAQC Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) functions across multiple mission-critical construction projects. This position ensures that all installed systems—mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural—meet or exceed design intent, contractual obligations, industry standards, and owner expectations.
Serving as the bridge between corporate quality leadership and project execution teams, the Senior QAQC Manager provides strategic oversight, establishes QAQC program standards, mentors QAQC personnel, and ensures consistent quality practices across all projects. This role requires extensive technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to drive proactive quality management in fast-paced, high-complexity environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain corporate and project-specific QAQC plans, procedures, and execution strategies.
- Standardize QAQC documentation, inspection protocols, and reporting tools across the organization.
- Establish and maintain Level 1–3 inspection processes for all disciplines, ensuring alignment with commissioning readiness.
Project Oversight
- Provide direct oversight and support to QAQC Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and inspection teams.
- Conduct periodic site visits to audit quality performance, verify adherence to QAQC standards, and ensure consistent issue resolution.
- Interface with owners, engineers, and commissioning agents to align quality goals with operational readiness.
Technical Leadership
- Review and approve quality hold points, inspection checklists, and test procedures.
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Support resolution of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closeout.
Team Development
- Mentor and train QAQC personnel, building a pipeline of quality leaders across the organization.
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives to disseminate lessons learned and best practices.
- Conduct performance reviews for QAQC staff and recommend development plans.
Reporting & Metrics
- Maintain corporate-level QAQC performance metrics, analyzing trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project quality performance, risks, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with safety, commissioning, and project management teams to align cross-functional goals.
Qualifications
- Required s Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years in construction, with at least 7 years in QAQC leadership roles.
- Expertise across multiple trades, with strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, AISC, ACI, and IBC codes.
- Proven experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, healthcare, or semiconductor facilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-disciplinary coordination skills.
Preferred:
- Certifications: PE, CxA, PMP, ASQ CQA, AWS CWI, ICC.
- Experience in multi-project or program-level QAQC oversight.
- Proficiency with QAQC management platforms (Procore, BIM 360, CxAlloy, Bluebeam).
- OSHA 30 certification.
Working Conditions
- Combination of office and field-based work with regular site travel.
- Extended hours during peak project phases.
- Exposure to active construction environments, including mechanical/electrical spaces and exterior work zones.
