This includes overseeing the execution and verification of excavation, foundations, concrete placement, steel erection, earthwork, site utilities, exterior systems, and other civil/structural elements to ensure compliance with engineering design, specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes.
This role spans QAQC Levels 1 through 3, with a focus on verifying materials, inspecting installations, coordinating with engineers of record and third-party testing agencies, and preparing systems for milestone inspections and turnover.
Key Responsibilities
Level 1 – Material Receipt & Handling

- Verify submittal conformance, certification documents (mill tests, concrete mix designs), and onsite material handling per manufacturer and spec requirements.
- Maintain inspection records, photographic logs, and deficiency reports using project QA platforms
Level 2 – Installation Verification
- Conduct field inspections of excavation, backfill, soil compaction, utility trenching, and rebar placement for structural foundations and slabs.
- Validate anchor bolt layouts, embed locations, steel framing connections, CMU alignment, and other structural system installations.
- Monitor concrete placement activities (temperature, slump, air content, vibration, curing) and coordinate field testing with third-party agencies.
- Verify formwork integrity, rebar coverage, clearances, and embed installations before placement.
- Inspect structural steel erection for bolt torqueing, weld quality, alignment, and field modifications.
Level 3 – Pre-Functional / Inspection Readiness
- Prepare civil/structural systems for milestone inspections (e.g., foundation pour approvals, steel inspections, envelope dry-ins).
- Verify as-built compliance for site grades, foundation dimensions, utility routing, and retaining systems prior to final surveys or commissioning interface.
- Confirm turnover readiness for structural systems requiring load testing, envelope water testing, or anchorage for mechanical/electrical components.
- Support interface between structural systems and MEP/architectural QAQC efforts (e.g., plinths, equipment pads, supports, penetrations).
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate-level QAQC performance metrics, analyzing trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project quality performance, risks, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with safety, commissioning, and project management teams to align cross-functional goals.

- Experience with mission-critical construction, data centers, large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with QA documentation software (Procore, BIM 360, CMMS, etc.).
- OSHA 30 and strong safety awareness related to excavation, concrete, and steel operations.
- Civil and structural systems QAQC expertise
- Field inspection leadership and technical documentation
- Testing coordination and milestone preparation
- Root cause analysis and corrective action oversight
