Department: Buildings Structures - GBA
Location: Lenexa, KS

Senior Structural Engineer – Lenexa, KS

GBA, a professional, full-service architecture and engineering firm is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Senior Structural Engineer position. GBA offers the opportunity to work in either a specialized market, or on projects in a variety of markets from start to finish, in a collaborative team environment, with room for career growth and development. We specialize in complex building types and structures such as:

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities – clean rooms, R&D/QA labs (Lenexa, Broomfield)
  • Industrial and manufacturing facilities and structures (Lenexa, Austin, Broomfield)
  • Wastewater treatment structures (Lenexa, Austin)
  • Mission critical facilities – data centers, telecommunications facilities (Lenexa)

Due to the specialized nature of our design work, GBA’s client projects extend nationwide, not just in the regions where our offices are located. Because the bulk of our structural design staff works in our Lenexa, KS headquarters, seamless integration is required for those seeking a position with our Austin area offices or our Broomfield office. Positions in our regional offices offer the opportunity to develop work for new clients in those regions, in addition to supporting the overall project needs of the structural group as a whole.

The ideal candidate will be interested and capable of leading structural design efforts in one of our offices and/or markets, with and business development. They will have experience in a consulting environment with a proven ability to mentor and train staff engineers, a strong interest and ability to cultivate new business through client engagement, and superior project management skills.

Beneficial:

  • A P.E. or S.E. license in the state of California or an S.E. in another state is a plus, but is not required
